On Friday, February 17th, we went in for an ultrasound appointment. The doctor said that we needed to have a c-section and we needed to go directly to the hospital. We were about to meet our precious baby girl. Emma Lyn came into the world at 12:57 pm on Friday, February 17th. She was 4lbs 2 oz and 17 inches long. It was a surprise to both of us that we got to meet our precious bundle of joy, but so happy that she is a healthy baby. They took her to the NICU, but Daddy went with her. She was only there for a little more than a day and then got to come spend the rest of her hospital stay with mommy and daddy. Even though she is small, she did everything on her own. Everyone always comments on how much hair she has. She does have a full head of hair, but we love it. While in the NICU Daddy would update mommy(in the rocovery room) via text messages and pictures. It was hard to be away from her, but she is a trooper and didn't have to stay long.
On Saturday we had lots of visitors. Grandma and Grandpa Stephens,
Grandma and Grandpa Dahl,
Uncle Chuck, Aunt Carrie and Cousin Chesney, Uncle Kurt, Aunt Kris, Cousin Kyle, and Cousin Kameron, Aunt Missy, Cousin Brock and Cousin Avalyn. A big thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Dahl, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Carrie and Cousin Chesney for cleaning the house for Mommy and Daddy.
On Monday, February 20, we got to come home from the hospital. Emma's first car ride was during the middle of a snow storm.
