1st Visit to Janesville

This past weekend we went to visit Daddy's side of the family for a surprise birthday party for Grandma.  It was definitely a surprise for her.  You also got to meet Great Grandpa Naatz, Chesney, Allie and Uncle Jeremy for the first time.  Uncle Chuck and Aunt Carrie got to hold you.

Smiles

Finally got some pictures of her smiling.  You have been smiling for awhile, but we never got a picture of it.  Your first smile was on 4/7 and you smiled at Mommy.  Daddy was holding you at the time.  He was a little jealous.  The next day you would only smile at Bailey, but since you smile at Mommy and Daddy all the time.  You were smirking before this date, but you legitimately smiled on this date.

Here you are lifting your head while on your tummy.  You are also working your abs as you like to raise your legs at the same time as your head.  Not sure how you do this, but you do.  The doctor was impressed that you could do this too.  You do get your head up even higher, but Mommy can never get a picture of it.

2 Months

Yesterday we went for your 2 month check-up.  Mommy wasn't looking forward to it because you had to get shots.  The doctor was happy with what you have done since last time she saw you.  She wanted to take you home, but Mommy wouldn't let her.  You were talking to her and all she kept saying is that you were too cute, but Mommy and Daddy already knew that.

Height: 20.25 inches

Weight: 7 lbs 11.5 oz

Head: 14.5 inches

The doctor was happy with the weight gain, but we have to continue with the formula mixed with breast milk 3 times a day.  You are eating between 85 and 95 mL except at night it seems like you always want to eat, but that is ok.  You are sleeping in your room and go about 6.5 to 7 hours before you need to eat.  You got your shots and we both cried.  You did really well with them.  We only had to give you medicine 1 time.  The shots made you very sleepy, but the next day you are back to your old self.  You are still wearing newborn cloths and are still in newborn diapers.  On April 7th, you had your first real smile and you smiled at Mommy.  Daddy was holding you.  He was jealous.  The next day you kept smiling at Bailey.  Peanut we love you so much and thank God every day that we were blessed with you.  You are our angel.

Daddy needed a picture of him for work.  Instead of just having him in the picture, he wanted it to be both of you.  

Happy Easter

 

The Easter bunny came to your house and brought you diapers, soft blocks, a my family photo book, and Beauty and the Beast dvd.  We got up and went to church, came home and had a little family time, then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Stephens house.  We had an easter egg hunt and this year Grandma color coordinated the eggs.  Each grandchild had to find a certain color.  Your egg color was pink.  You didn't have candy in them since you can't eat it, instead Grandma put socks and onesies in them.  Mommy and Daddy found your eggs for you.  This day was the first time that Great Grandma Davis got to meet you.
